BWSSB Water Connection Process and Borewell Cost in Bangalore

The Bangalore Water Supply and Sewerage Board (BWSSB) is the authority to request a water supply and drainage connection for your newly constructed home in Bengaluru. You will have to fill out an application form from the official BWSSB website: https://owc.bwssb.gov.in/bwssb-owc/member along with a fee of Rs. 100 each for water and sanitary connections, respectively.

Apart from this, here’s a list of vital documents and information required that should be handy when applying for the sanitary connection –

  • Property Details
  • Building Plan – [floor area of the building with the exact number of toilets, sanitary and plumbing connections, water points, and the overhead and sump tank capacity to be mentioned precisely]
  • Building photo with the owner
  • Lease cum sale deed or sale deed
  • Katha
  • Occupancy Certificate for a building higher than G+3 floors
  • Along with the application form, you also need to obtain a permission letter from the authority to cut the road
  • Encumbrance Certificate
  • Detailed Building Plan
  • Change of Landuse Copy
  • Revenue Copy
  • Architect License Copy
Once you choose the right category under which your building belongs (Domestic/ Commercial/ Residential Apartment, etc.), duly filled application forms with the others must be submitted to the assistant executive engineer at the sub-division office.
