• Get the application form called the ‘A Form’ available at any sub-divisional BESCOM office.
• The registration at the office can be done by submitting this duly filled form along with the below-listed documents for a registration fee of Rs. 50 –
  • Sale Deed
  • Katha
  • Sanctioned plan
  • Power of Attorney
  • Latest Rent Paid
  • Lease Deed
  • Partnership Deed
  • Certificate of Incorporation and Memorandum of Association [MOA]

With this, a unique registration number is provided to you, which will help you track your application process and check your submitted documents.

• A field officer inspects the house and prepares an estimate after visiting your site.
• A sketch of the wiring diagram should be submitted at the office with the Power Supply Agreement and the Test Completion Report signed by the electrical contractor.

You need to make the payment for deposit and inspection charges at this stage. The payments to be made are as follows –

• Meter Security Deposit [charges depend on the capacity of the meter to be fixed.]
• Initial Security Deposit [based on the load].
• Service line charges.
• Service connection charges.
• Post this, a work order is issued by the BESCOM sub-divisional office, and an area engineer in charge of the designated place will fix the meter.

It takes about 30 days to install new connections once you register at the BESCOM office.

NAME CHANGE APPLICATION PROCESS: BESCOM

In case, you want to change the name on the bill receipt, you can submit a formal request at the sub-divisional office with the RR Number of the applicant and personal details such as name, telephone number, and permanent address. Along with this, the below list of documents is a must for submission as well:

• Copy of Sale Agreement
• No Objection Certificate or [NOC] from builder/ owner/ society
• Sale Deed
• Tax Payment Receipt
• Copy of Last Paid Electricity Bill
• Indemnity Bond
